Communication Tips
When you want to communicate with any of your legislators please keep the following tips in mind:
1.  Always refer to the legislation in exact terms, (as an example, HB 103 or SB 442 or Dodd- Frank bill, etc.).  Because many of the legislators only sit on certain committees, they might not be fully aware of your concerns or even that the Bill exists if it has not yet come up for a vote unless you are specific about the Bill, Regulation or Law that they can reference.
2.  Keep it short and to the point, making sure that your message is clear.  If you make it too long or wordly they are less likely to read it.
3.  Always try to explain how it will affect the consumer and the economy.  Don't make it personal or about you and your company.  Be passionate about your concern for the consumer/economy.
4.  Do not use any inflammatory or threatening  language.
